Cyrus Trafford is an award winning British Iranian Director that is building a formidable reputation for creating work that is not only uncompromising but first and foremost elevates consciousness. 

Back in May 2013, Trafford directed his debut short I'm Christian Okoli on a budget of £100. The film ended up winning several film festivals, screening at the BFI and being officially selected as one of the Top 100 Pieces of Art in London for 2013. Since then he has directed several more shorts that have all garnered critical acclaim and toured the International Film Festival Circuit. 


One of Cyrus's proudest moments to date was having his latest short film The Voice in the Head be chosen to open the International Premiere of Sarah Silverman's latest film I Smile Back at the prestigious 22nd Oldenburg International Film Festival in Germany in September 2015. In October 2016 The Voice in the Head made the Longlist for the BIFA Best British Short Film 2016.

In July 2016, Cyrus was selected as 1 of 6 young Film-makers to be exclusively mentored by Colin Trevorrow (director of Jurassic World and Star Wars Episode 9) at the Capalbio Future Storytellers Lab at the 23rd Capalbio International Film Festival in Italy.


In 2017, Cyrus made the shortlist for the BBC Doctors Directors Scheme and got accepted onto the BAFTA Crew Director's Scheme

He has also Exec. Produced Ten Thousand Saints starring 4 times Oscar Nominated Actor Ethan Hawke which premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2015 and was subsequently released by Screen Media and Universal. Another film Trafford has Exec. Produced Wild Oats starring 2 Times Oscar Winning Actress Jessica Lange will be released in 2016 by the Weinstein Company and Sony Pictures. 

His biggest influences to date on his work are his favourite directors Chan-Wook Park, Darren Aronofsky & Steve McQueen.
